International Space Day

Friday 1st May 2020 is International Space Day! 

Below are a whole host of activities that you can complete on Friday and beyond. 


The Year 2 team would love to see some of your International Space Day activities. Why not email the Infant Admin Office what you have been up to to celebrate International Space Day. 


Space topic

As part of our History topic in the Summer term, the children will be focussing on the history of space travel. 


Why not try some of these tasks while learning from home: 

  • make your own top trumps/fact cards (see the example below)
  • complete the fact hunt (see questions below)
  • design your own planet (see the example below)
  • answer questions about planets and the solar system (see questions below)
  • label the solar system (see the example below)
  • write a non chronological report about a planet (see information that can be used below). You could use the plant facts (see below) to plan or write your ideas
  • quiz your knowledge on the planets using the Powerpoint Game (see below)
