School closure due to storm Eunice.  18th February 2022

Please log into your Tapestry account to find today's activities.  If you are unable to log into Tapestry then a copy of the post is below.

Good morning, we are very sad not to be at school today but unfortunately we have been told to close to protect everyone’s safety.

Please find below the learning that would have taken place at school today

Phonics - This week in phonics we have been consolidating the digraphs and trigraphs we have learnt. Todays focus sounds are ‘ow, ear, oi’ the link for this can be found here -

Daily maths - 5 in the bed
In our maths lessons this week we have been learning about the number 5 family of facts. Please follow the attached video to help you with this activity. Upload videos of you sharing the addition and subtraction facts that you know about the number 5. If you want to challenge yourself a little bit more you could write the calculations down using the +,- and = signs.

After half term our topic will be ‘Under the sea.’  Your teachers would like to know what your favourite sea creature is.  Can you find out some interesting facts about your favourite sea creature? Maybe you could draw a picture of your sea creature and write some simple facts you have found out.

If you are still taking part in mad hair day (I know Mrs Howlett is) please upload some pictures so we can see just how crazy your hair is.

As always please upload photos of your learning to Tapestry.

Please stay safe and we all look forward to seeing you back at school after half term.

The Year R team.
