  • Rags2Riches Clothing Collection

    Thank you so much for your generous donations of clothing, footwear, etc., to help with our fundraising and recycling initiative on Tuesday, 21st January 2025.

    Across Oakridge Federation, we managed to recycle a huge 471.10kg @ 25p per kilo, raising £117.78 for our schools.

    Keep an eye on your emails as we will definitely be organising another collection after Easter.

  • St Michael’s Hospice - 'Light It Up' Carol Concert

    After a late change of venue due to the weather forecast, Oakridge Junior School Choir took part in the St Michael’s Hospice ‘Light it up’ carol concert on Sunday 8th December at St Joseph’s Church.

  • Children In Need!

  • Remembrance Day 2024

    As a school, we celebrated Remembrance Day with the children by holding a 2-minute silence across the Federation. In classes, the children discussed the importance of Remembrance Day and why we celebrate it. At the end of the day, we also had special assemblies in the infants and the juniors.

  • Diwali Light It Up

    On Friday 8th November, some of our year 2 and 4 children took part in the 'Diwali Light It Up' celebration in town organised by Kala the Arts. As part of this, the children participated in a light parade featuring giant puppets, musicians, performers and more than 100 decorated lanterns from the Top of Town to the amphitheatre by the Vue Cinema. Once at the amphitheatre, the children performed the dances they had learnt in school at sessions which had been put on by Kala the Arts. 

    The children made everyone proud and loved the experience. Well done to everyone who took part - you were all amazing!

  • Year 2 Fire Service Visit

    On Thursday 26th September, Year 2 had an exciting visit from Hampshire Fire and Rescue. They came to talk to us about fire safety and what we should do if there was a fire. This included how to call 999 and knowing how we can escape from our homes safely in case there was a fire. The children also took part in a quiz to check their understanding and show how much they had learnt.
