Job/Person Summary

Oakridge Schools Federation is a thriving and inclusive federation comprising a three-form-entry junior school and a three-form-entry infant and nursery school, located on the same site in the vibrant town of Basingstoke, Hampshire.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated class teacher to join our established and supportive team from April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented teacher to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils and contribute to the continued success of our school. The teaching commitment will be across the infants and the juniors.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences.
  • Can plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Differentiates effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and higher ability pupils.
  • Uses assessment to inform planning and track progress effectively.
  • Maintains high expectations for behaviour, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Is a team player who contributes positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Successful experience teaching in a primary setting (either as an ECT or experienced teacher).
