Early Years at Oakridge

The importance of the Early Years in a child’s education cannot be underestimated as it is the foundation for lifelong learning. At the Oakridge Federation we recognise the important role that these years play and aim to provide the best start to your child’s school life. Our Early Years team provide a stimulating learning environment, both inside and outside; a place where your child can feel safe to explore and learn new things through a range of hands on and play based learning.

Every child is unique and our environment is structured with them at the heart of it. We celebrate all of the different experiences that they bring. It is with this in mind that our practitioners work in partnership with our parents; this ensures that progress across the curriculum is consistent in both home and school life. We achieve this through our use of Tapestry online journal and regular stay and play sessions where we facilitate learning opportunities which are easily transferable to practise at home.
