Live At Home Scheme updates
As part of our work with the older people of Basingstoke 'Live at Home Scheme', our children have taken part in two more events this half term.
The first event involved the children hosting a Christmas Arts and Crafts session for the older people to attend. They came to Oakridge for tea and coffee and made Christmas cards with the children for the afternoon.
The second event involved part of our school choir going down to the church to sing to the older people after they had finished their Christmas meal. We sang a range of Christmas carols and provided them with their entertainment for the afternoon!
Both events were a real success and we look forward to carrying out more after Christmas, getting as many children as possible involved.
